It was designed by the architect Giovanni Battista Bossi in 1904-1906; the buildings were built on an area occupied by the Società Anonima degli Omnibus, which managed the Milanese public transport. The building represents a virtuous balance between decorations and architectural elements in iron and cement and the decorations – garlands, cherubs, floral motifs – from incisive and vibrant on the first floor become lighter and simpler in the upper floors.
