007 in Venice

The name is Italy. Venice Italy
All James Bond movies have been made in spectacular settings and in unique world destinations. One of them being more popular than others: Venice, Italy. There were three James Bonds who obviously fell in love with this Italian city of dreams and romance:
• Sean Connery, starring in the movie “From Russia with Love” (1963),
• Roger Moore, starring in the movie “Moonraker” (1979) and
• Daniel Craig, starring in the movie “Casino Royale” (2006).
Seal your love’s deal
One of the most known Venice sights, also being one of the most popular world attractions, is the Ponte dei Sospiri (the Bridge of Sighs). Connecting the palace and the former prison this beautiful limestone bridge, located just a stone’s throw from the Danieli, is the city’s love symbol and if you really want to seal the deal with your loved one, take a gondola ride under it and have yourself the most passionate kiss ever. At least, this is recommended by the legendary 007, Sean Connery.
Venice by Bondola
You don’t have to have a gondola transforming into a land vehicle (“the Bondola”) to discover Venice’s secrets, there are much more destination-friendlier ways to go around. Want to follow Moore’s steps? Then don’t forget to do a selfie in front of the Torre dell’orologio (the clock tower) on the St. Mark’s square, which appears as one of the most prominent sets in the Moonraker. Take few steps towards east and you’ll notice the Venini glass shop, entrance of which is showing in this 1979 movie. After the walk sit down and relax Roger Moore’s way at the Gritti Palace’s terrace, which was also one of the movie sets. And if you want to sleep like Dr. Goodhead from the Moonraker did, than book you room at the Danieli.
Recently quit your job? Head down the Grand Canal
Towards the end of the Casino Royale movie, Daniel Craig decides to resign as a 007 agent and heads to Venice with his charming companion and elegant sailboat. Just relaxing by observing the Venetian architecture while slowly gliding on the water is the way to go Craig’s way. Don’t own a sailboat? No worries; just take a private gondola tour all the way through the Grand Canal and stop when you see fruits and vegetables market.
