Art Night Venezia 2019

This year's Art Night to be held on 22nd June marks the 9th edition of the magical art culture. It consists of a series of events where several organizations, foundations, galleries, museums and bookstores open for the Venetian Summer's culture night.

This year’s Art Night to be held on 22nd June marks the 9th edition of the magical art culture. The event is conceived and coordinated by University Ca’ Foscari together with the Venice Municipality and It consists of a series of events where several organizations, foundations, galleries, museums and bookstores open for the Venetian Summer’s culture night.

Numerous institutions will have scheduled appointments including Punta della Dogana and the Civic Museums, which are this year participating with the unique launching of the Fortuny Museum.

One of this year’s novelty is an initiative dubbed “Waiting for the Art Night Venice”, that guarantees free entry the whole day of 22nd besides the evening. In addition, Lido is an added venue, thanks to the municipality. Further, the municipal cinema halls will charge a reduced fee of 3 euros. Expect many funfilled events for the children as well as creative workshops, appointments, and performances in various locations of the renowned Lido and Mestre.

 

The Program

The Art Night 2019 will commence when University Ca’ Foscari gates open at 6 pm. The entire city will come alive with the free opening of the numerous host venues including cultural associations and theaters. Museums, palaces, workshops, and exhibitions, as well as concerts and readings, will open till late at night.

Starting at 6.30 pm, “Gely Korzhev. Back to Venice” exhibition, dedicated to a famous Russian painter together with the Ca’rte Lab Educational Workshop, dedicated to 5-11 years, age children. One can also take guided tours at Ca ’Dolfin and Ca’ Foscari headquarters, organized by Ca ’Foscari Tour.

At 9.30 pm, Cfz Zattere headquarters, there’s the “ID. ART: TECH EXHIBITION -CYFEST-12, where International Media Art Festival ” together with CSAR -Center for Studies on the Arts of Russia with repeats at 9.30 pm and 10.30 pm.

 

News for this Year’s Festival?

One of the new city visits’ themes in The Art Night 2019, is a proposal from Venetian Bestiary. There are also several appointments conquering Lido like stars observation at the Planetarium. There will be the glad opening of S. Maria Elisabetta church, the Galoppatoio participatory, the GiocoMoco- children goose game at Malamocco.  There will be concert at the pier as you face the square. Get to visit Malacreda bridge at San Nicolo’ Riviera.

Art night 2019’s highlight will be performance by Ludovica Rambelli Teatro: Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, 23 Tableaux vivants, the conversion of a horse, which will be replayed at 10.30 pm and 11.30 pm. This year’s guided tour will have addition, Ca’ Bottacin, a Venetian architecture’s treasure that will open again after its restoration.
