Discover the Ampezzo Dolomites in Veneto

The Ampezzo Dolomites is a natural park located in Veneto, Italy. It is just north of the Village of Cortina d’Ampezzo and winds around the Alto Adige and along the border of Fanes-Sennes-Braises Park.

There are many things to see and do in the area including world class tours, skiing, and sightseeing. If you have always wanted to try climbing a mountain, cycling or walking through a meadow, or dipping your toes in an alpine lake, your opportunity awaits.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site

The natural park is a UNESCO World Heritage skiing area. Going back generations, there have been protective policies to ensure the survival of some of the delicate flora and fauna and a more recent initiative to repopulate species close to extinction.

As a result of these efforts, the park has remained pristine, lush and bountiful. A preserved natural wonder and largely undisturbed, one can discover an array of rare and wild flower species and animal wildlife including three-toed woodpecker, hamois, owls, golden eagles, ibex, bearded vultures, brown bears, and more. Feast your eyes on green valleys, thick woods, beautiful blue lakes, and crystal clear waterfalls.

The Wonders of Cortina d’Ampezzo and Area

Explore the area by foot, mountain bike, or with all fours as you climb and scale the heights. While in the area, you can also check out skiing trips, culinary tours and adventures, and local sites including the Tofane – the tallest and most regal of the Dolomite mountains.
