An enchanting place in Venice

JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is located on the Isola delle Rose, a private island in Venice, near top attractions like St. Mark’s Square. Its historic buildings have been restored and revamped, with the addition of a Spa and a rooftop infinity pool.

One of the highlights of the resort is the restaurant Fiola at Dopolavoro Venezia, enriched by a culinary proposal which includes the signature starred dishes prepared by chef Fabio Trabocchi. The experience to moor at the Molo Privato is incredibly glamour and the restaurant shows a contemporary design created by the architect Matteo Thun, with a continuity between inside and outside allowing to make the atmosphere relaxing.

 

 

JW Culinary Experiences

The “JW Culinary Experiences” of JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa was created to enhance the homemade cuisine and provide an extrasensory experience through a series of two-days events.

The first day will begin at Sagra Rooftop restaurant, with a splendid 360 degree view of Venice, and includes an aperitif served with Venetian cicchetti, a particular version of the tapas prepared by the Michelin-starred Chef.

The second day will begin with a cooking class managed by the chef, who will explain how to prepare a traditional dish and reveal all its secrets. At the end of the course, the guests will prepare the proposed menu.

In the evening, at the gourmet restaurant “Fiola a Dopolavoro Venezia” will start the “4 hands dinner” event.  During this delicious dinner, the chef Fabio Trabocchi together with Michelin-starred chef, will prepare a 4-course menu and during the evening they will entertain guests answering to their questions about their culinary specialties. A unique opportunity take advantage of the advices from starred chefs who brought the acclaimed concept of refined cuisine in some of the most renowned restaurants in Italy.

 

 

Sapori Cooking Academy

Located inside the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, the Sapori Cooking Academy is a culinary academy where where guests can learn how to make an entire Italian menu, ranging over from the Venetian tradition to the great Italian classics. An unmissable opportunity to learn from the best Chefs how to cook the most traditonal italian dishes.

Pasta lovers will be delighted in following the Chef’s tips on how to make real Italian pasta. The masterclass has two different fascinating moments: the first is aimed to showcase the difference between the longstanding manual pasta maker and the handy automatic one; the second will be focused on finding the most appropriate sauce and filling for the pasta, based on products seasonality.

Pizza enthusiasts can learn the art of Pizza, from Margherita to Capricciosa and explore the story of Italian street food, tasting an unconventional meal with a selection of hard, soft and herbs cheese served with jams, fruit preserves or honey, all paired with their wines.

And what about sweets? The Sapori Cooking Academy offers a memorable family moment where adults and kids can learn how to prepare pastries and the traditional Venetian Zaeti biscuits. The sweet tooth can also embark on a delicious journey to discover the delights of chocolate and learn more about the organoleptic properties and the chocolate tempering tecnique. Last but not least, digestive enthusiasts can indulge in a unique experience with the sommelier and learn more about distillation tecnique, winemaking and ageing.
